So while Ty and I were at his football game Gino,Brok,Jace,Paytan,Jason,Wyett, and Bryli went for an all day ride. They went to the Savanic Mine and the Grand Gulch mine. Getting there is quite a trek but they enjoyed it. It is one of my favorite rides although I don't like going in the Savanic mine it scares the crap out of me. Last time we went Gino and Jason took Tonya and I about 30 feet down and we had a little bit of an issue in one part of the mine. Is all I can say is I will try everything once. I will NEVER go crawling through a mine again. I think I also speak for Tonya on that one. I will leave crazy things like that up to Gino. One of the many reasons I keep his life insurance paid. The Grand Gulch mine is quite neat and I enjoy going there. Gino's grandfather worked there many years ago. There are really no mines around their and I'm not sure why it's called a mine. Guess I will have to do some research.

Brok and Paytan climbing to the top. Paytan is not liking it so much.

This is the part of the ride that is alittle rough. That trail of rock in front of Gino he still has to climb before you get to the top.

I am going to be a boasting mother for a few minutes. Ty's football team so far this year is undeafted. I am so proud of all of them and I am truly greatful to the wonderful coaches they have. This last Saturday they had a game against Dixie and Ty played awesome. He caught a 10 yard pass. I think. It was somewhere in that range. I was a nervous wreck he has never been passed the ball in a game before so I was the typical mother think Oh Please don't let it be my son who misses the ball. Actually I think that about all the boys on the team but its worse when it's your own son. He also SACKED the quarter back. Way to go Ty!! He did make a couple of mistakes so those two plays made up for it. Yes I am proud I'll admit it. My kids are my life and I am so proud of them. The very reason I stay home is to take pride in my home and my children. Unfortunaly Gino get put on the back burner. That must be why he spend all his time on his quad. I would spend more time on my but it's been to hot.
By the way THANKS RANDY FOR TAKING PICTURES OF TY!!

Waydes Blessing

Ok so I am going to keep everyone updated on Jason and Tonyas family since she doesn't. Wayde was blessed yesterday in their home by his grandfather Ray Turley (Tonyas Dad). Such a great man. I love him like he was my own father. He baptized Tyler and has ordained Brok a few times. Here are some pictures of the family.

Here is an updated picture of cute little Wayde. He weighs 7lbs 8 oz. He is so tiny I can still hold his little butt in my hand. This was taken after my first go at feeding him. We ended up with milk on both of us but I think I was about to get about an ounce and a half in him. It's quiet a chore when you don't know what your doing and he is so little and squirms that I feel like I could drop him.

AWESOME 91

We were privleged to have my Grandma Meacham down this week and she will be turning 91 on Sunday the 28th. We through a party for her and she was so excited. My Grandma loves nothing more than the attention to be all about her. In a good way that is. She takes it all in but she also gives back plenty. These last few day I have been able to sit and talk to Grandma about her past. She doesn't remember things quiet like it happened but I got the jist. I learned that my Great Grandpa Meacham was one mean son of a gun but his wife was the sweetest lady you would ever meet. My Grandpa Nelson my Grandmothers father was a good man but when he got drunk it was a whole different story. He would ride through town on his horse shooting his gun. Everyone was afraid of him so they would just hide out somewhere until he ran out of bullets or passed out somewhere. My Great Grandma Nelson died when my Granmother was really young. She got phenmonia and one night when my Grandmother was sleeping next to her mother she passed away. My grandma said that to keep her body until the funeral they would pack the bodies with frozed coke bottles. My Great Grandma stayed in the bed she died in until the day she was buried.I find it amazing how they did things back in the early 1900s.

My Grandma told me today that she had a son that died at birth weighing 10 lbs. 10 oz. his name was Miles. He was born before my dad. My dad is the youngest of the 9 kids. 5 of them were from my Grandma and the others from previous wives who had passed on. My Grandma married my Grandpa when she was 18 and he was 40. I looked through the geneology book and when my grandma turned 3 he was married to his first wife. I never knew my Grandfather but have heard wonderful stories about him. Grandma will be back for Thanksgiving and I can't wait to pick her brain some more.

My Grandma was telling me that one time she and her friend skipped church and went riding their horses. She said they got out a ways and could hear a cougars cry. As they turned around she said they felt it was getting closer. She said is all she could do was pray that they would make it back saftly and she would never miss church again. Well she says they never skipped church after that. But she said that every time she hears a cougar which she said hasn't been for many years chills run down her spine. I have heard a cougars cry and it is very frightening. She also said that one time her and a friend decided they were going to try smoking so they took some bark and crushed it up and rolled it in paper. She said she had never tried a real cigarette but that made her never want to try one either. She said the taste was so bad that even talking about it after all these years she can still remember the taste. My Grandma is so awesome I love her so much. I haven't really spent much time with my grandma because she lives in Delta but the last few years my dad brings her down about every other month. I know by some of the stories shes told she had a very hard life growing up. She is a great women and I hope I'm just like her when I grow up.

A Crazy last few weeks

So about a week after school started I got a new calling.Relief Society 2nd Counselor. I really didn't think it would keep me any busier than I already am. WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! I feel like between my kids, husband, and my calling I don't even have time to breath. I am sure things will slow down soon. I finally got everyone on a schedule and in bed by 8. I'm not in bed by 8 but the kids are. It took me 4 weeks to finally get it together so I am hoping I will be able to organize my calling real soon. I am the type of person that likes to have an hour of MY time quite often and I am not getting. So far I know the Lord is blessing me with patience because I haven't blown up yet. I still feel pretty good and am trying to enjoy every minute of life. So to add to our craziness around here Tyler ended up with shingles. He is being such a trooper because I know that it's very painful. So many have asked what it looks like and how you get it? Well it is normally caused by stress but I guess a virus can also trigger it. Shingles for those of you who don't know is a strain of chicken pox. It's not contagious unless you have not had the chicken pox. I have posted some pictures so you can see what it looks like. Now lets hope and pray that Jace doesn't get chicken pox since he has only had the first shot out of two for the pox.

Lunch Bunch

This was so much fun. We had 23 women and 18 kids show up for lunch bunch. Jody and I prepared the lunch and Marlene and Keri did desert and fruit. I am so glad so many showed up. What a great time we had.I am enjoying my new calling as Relief Society
2nd couselor. I was very nervous and felt like a fish out of water the first few weeks but I think I can handle it. My testimony has strengthend and I am so greatful for the power of prayer. If it wasn't for the help of my Heavenly Father and the support from our ward I know I wouldn't be able to do this calling. I am greatful I am part of such a wonderful ward. I truly love each and every women. I am truly greatful for the wonderful women whom I serve with.

Happy Birthday Tyler

Tyler turned 9 on Sunday and he was so excited to get a new bike. He had no idea he was getting it because he didn't even ask. My sweet Tyguy. He is always happy. We could be dirt poor and he wouln't complain. As long as he can spend time with friends and family he is content. I love the way he is always making us laugh. He does the funniest things that are least expected. Ty keeps are house full of laughter. We are so blessed to have such a precious boy part of our family. The best part of his birthday was his favorite team the Saints won and his favorite Nascar driver Jimmy Johnson won his race.

The doctors took him C-section at around 1:00 in the afternoon yesterday. Wayde is 7lbs. 2 oz. 18 1/2 inches. We are so excited he is finally here. I sent my camera with Tonyas mom to take pictures since I wasn't able to go to Vegas and see him. Tonya is doing great and will be happy to be home.
