Say Cheese!!

While hiking we found this spot that Gino thought would be awesome to do family pictures. He was right. The pictures turned out so nice.

Thanksgiving Weekend

This Thanksgiving will be one that all who was there will remember. I have a feeling it will be the last holiday that we will get to spend with my 92 year old grandma. It was a wonderful weekend. The weather was gorgeous so most of it was spend outside on the patio and around the fire at night. My cousin Clayton came with his two boys. The last time I saw Clayton I was about 8. The age of his youngest son Ryan. It was nice to reacquaint ourselves once again. I am so blessed to have wonderful family members in my life. I cherish the moments we spend together. I am so grateful they could make it for Thanksgiving along with my Uncle Dee and Aunt Barb. Next year we hope to have Thanksgiving in Colorado. That means more family members and a bunch more memories.

Clayton brought this fun game called Kubb. The kids had a blast with it. It is an old fashion viking game. 2 to 12 people can play at a time. Even the 4 year olds were able to play. You basically just though sticks at the opposing teams blocks. I wasn't able to play since I had thrown my shoulder out but the kids played 3 days straight.

TWILIGHT

Ok so it all started when I found out that everyone was reading these books. Of course I can never be left out of the loop so I started reading. Gino was not thrilled to see me pick up a book since nothing and I mean nothing gets done when I start reading. I then had to rub it in and tell him this was the 1st of 4. He informed the kids that I would be out of commission for at least a month if not two. I love to read and have now found my favorite books of all time. I couldn't wait for the movie to come out. Heather then thought it would be fun to go as a big group. As you can see from all the pictures we made a night of it.
We all decided to go to dinner at Los Lupes before going to the movie. I lost count on how many showed up I would say around 20 to 25 ladies. It was a ton of fun. I would just like to make mention for the record. Michelle West was the photograph so she is not seen in the picture but was present. Thanks Michelle!

Monster Murder Mystery

SYNOPSIS
The monsters arrived at the Annual Monster Summit expecting a typical meeting of planning the upcoming year's frightening events! As usual a few monsters fouled the chemistry of the group and caused uncomfortable tension. Nonetheless, the monsters kicked off the evening with eerie appetizers. They challenged each other on amusing monster trivia questions before engaging in a catch-up session of the past year's events. The monsters played some hilarious games such as the Horrific Rap Contest. Some of the monsters continued to create hostilities towards one another and so dinner was served with a fun distraction of The Spooky Movie Challenge. Then, to everyone's shock...a monster was murdered! The victim, now a ghost, threatened to haunt everyone forever if the murderer wasn't unveiled quickly! So the monsters investigated the crime and solved whodunit-while taking a few breaks to play the What Spooky Thing am I game, and the Ghoulish Balloon Blower challenge! Then, gruesome dessert was served with grisly hot chocolate and one by one, the monsters accused who they believed to be the murderer... and the monstrous murderer confessed! To top off the Annual Monster Summit, the monsters played the Fearsome Charade challenge. Overall, it was a very interesting night at the Monster Summit and humankind should look forward to the spooky events the monsters have planned for the upcoming year.

THE MURDER-Howlie Moon aka Becky Solis-Stokes

I was a little worried how serious the kids would take this but they were awesome. They pretty much had the mystery solved by the time Howlie confessed. It was so fun to watch everyone have such a great time. The time frame was from 7 to 10 so I was worried about them getting finished to early and having to keep them occupied. That was not the case. There were 15 kids total and every single one of them were so in to solving the mystery that no one got bored or rowdy. Thanks to Becky and my mom for helping out. Couldn't have done it without you.

Broks football game

Saturday bright and early we got up and went to Broks ball game. Their team has done better with each game. This game they scored their first touchdown of the season. Way to go boys!!They have worked really hard to get to were they are.Brok doesn't get to play much because he is so small and not very agressive. Hopefully someday he will get a growth spurt. I am very proud of his determination. He never complains about not playing much he is just happy we let him play.By high school maybe some of the aggressiveness will kick in.

Our new babies

So because of the darn addiction I have we ended up with two baby turtles. The smallests name is Peewie and the bigger Hermon. Really it has nothing to do with Mr. Hermon himself. I decided to name the little one Peewie since he is premature. Jace came up with Hermon. Now we have Ms.Myrtle,Angelica often called Jelly bean, Mr.Irwin,Hermon and Peewie. They are alot of fun and I am pretty sure I am done.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAYTAN!!!

There is so much to say about my sweet daughter I don't even know where to begin. She was VERY stubborn until about 3 years old and then became likable. I have no idea where she got her stubborness from. Paytan is always willing to help with things around the house and taking care of her younger brothers. Jace has been her baby since the day he was born. She normally baths him and has since he was little. She cleans the house like it should be cleaned which I am so thankful for. Boys are so messy and unorganized. Her sweet spirit and truthfulness are my favorite traits about her. Even when I don't want to hear her opionion or disapprove I am thankful she is always willing to stand her ground. She has lots of friends who are good examples and believe in the same standards she does. Paytan loves kids and thankfully when tending for me she manages to keep the house clean and have fun with the boys. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful daughter. I LOVE YOU PAYTERS (even if you are daddies girl).

Paytan and our dog Buddy. He would let her climb all over him. He seemed to be happiest then.

Poor Paytan she was always so patient. I loved dressing her up and taking her picture from the day she was born.

That's my girl! Always having fun!

Drill team

Yeah!! Paytan made Drill team. She was so nervous to go look at the list once it was posted but found her name and was elated. What an awesome birthday present. Her birthday is tomorrow and she said if she gets nothing else this does it. Congrats Paytan!! Turn your speakers on and my music player off before watching.

So while Ty and I were at his football game Gino,Brok,Jace,Paytan,Jason,Wyett, and Bryli went for an all day ride. They went to the Savanic Mine and the Grand Gulch mine. Getting there is quite a trek but they enjoyed it. It is one of my favorite rides although I don't like going in the Savanic mine it scares the crap out of me. Last time we went Gino and Jason took Tonya and I about 30 feet down and we had a little bit of an issue in one part of the mine. Is all I can say is I will try everything once. I will NEVER go crawling through a mine again. I think I also speak for Tonya on that one. I will leave crazy things like that up to Gino. One of the many reasons I keep his life insurance paid. The Grand Gulch mine is quite neat and I enjoy going there. Gino's grandfather worked there many years ago. There are really no mines around their and I'm not sure why it's called a mine. Guess I will have to do some research.

Brok and Paytan climbing to the top. Paytan is not liking it so much.

This is the part of the ride that is alittle rough. That trail of rock in front of Gino he still has to climb before you get to the top.

I am going to be a boasting mother for a few minutes. Ty's football team so far this year is undeafted. I am so proud of all of them and I am truly greatful to the wonderful coaches they have. This last Saturday they had a game against Dixie and Ty played awesome. He caught a 10 yard pass. I think. It was somewhere in that range. I was a nervous wreck he has never been passed the ball in a game before so I was the typical mother think Oh Please don't let it be my son who misses the ball. Actually I think that about all the boys on the team but its worse when it's your own son. He also SACKED the quarter back. Way to go Ty!! He did make a couple of mistakes so those two plays made up for it. Yes I am proud I'll admit it. My kids are my life and I am so proud of them. The very reason I stay home is to take pride in my home and my children. Unfortunaly Gino get put on the back burner. That must be why he spend all his time on his quad. I would spend more time on my but it's been to hot.
By the way THANKS RANDY FOR TAKING PICTURES OF TY!!

Waydes Blessing

Ok so I am going to keep everyone updated on Jason and Tonyas family since she doesn't. Wayde was blessed yesterday in their home by his grandfather Ray Turley (Tonyas Dad). Such a great man. I love him like he was my own father. He baptized Tyler and has ordained Brok a few times. Here are some pictures of the family.
