Ok so our life around here has been alittle crazy but I thought I would update everyone on how things are going and what we have been doing. First off on June 9 the day before Jaces surgery I started my college course Nevada History 217. I thought Nevada history that will be a breaze.Ya right if you know anything about Nevada. I also thought it would be easy since it was online. Think again! I have 3 essays that have to be done on 3 different Nevada museums. Those all due by July 13. Sure plenty of time. NOT! I also have weekly assignments consisting of 3 45 min. each lecture videos, 3 chapters from 1 book and a chapter or 2 in another. Sometimes she even throws in another document that has to be read and a quiz that has to be taken at the end of the week. Oh and I also forgot to mention that there is a document paper that we had to read and write about along with reading and responding to 3 other papers that students in the class had done. UHG!! So far I am keeping up but starting to feel alittle overwhelmded. How do people do it with a family and a job? So on the essays I decided to take my kids and some of my nephews to the Lost city Museum on Thursday. We had a great time. Especially stopping for ice cream on the way home. I also took them to the Mesquite museum which we had the most fun at. They were so great with us. I learned a ton that I should have already known. Do you know why they call the street leading to the hospital Bertha Howe? I do now. If you haven't been your kids will have a great time. I kind of turned it into a game. I told the kids to listen and ask questions because I was going to quiz them after and the one who answered the most questions won a trip to DQ. Well lets just say we all went. I ran out of questions to ask because they kept getting them all right. On Friday the 4th we had a family BBQ. So much fun. We did the Cha Cha slide, limbo, and Macarena dance off. The kids also had a water gun fight which eventually the adults got involved in. Thats why there aren't pictures. I was having so much fun with the kids that I forgot to take pictures. Maybe next year.
Brok is doing fine. The Orthopedic doctor said he can still play football if he takes it easy and doesn't reinjure anything. His dad let him go to Otter Creek with some friends for the 4th so we will see what kind of shape he comes home in.
Jace is doing awesome. I caught him supermanning off the couch onto the bean bag the other day and had to get after him. He said MOM I'm fine don't you know I've been out of the hospital for a hundred years now.He is getting alittle irritated not being able to go swim or ride his bike so I am having to get alittle more creative with things. Anyone have any good ideas? We check on his little friend Olivia that was in the hospital when he was. I still get really emotional just thinking about it. She got out of the hospital on Tuesday the 1st and is doing good. She still has a long ways to go but with constant prayers she is going to make it. On her blog that her mother has done someone posted that on the 4th when the fireworks are going off those are for Livis celebration homecoming. As we were watching the fireworks Jace came to me and said Mom did you see that. That one with the heart was for Olivia because we all love her huh. What a sweet boy. Of course I was already teary eyed, I love the 4th of July and make everyone listen to God bless the USA, Starspangled banner, and American soldier during the fireworks. I always cry. Guess I am pretty patriotic. What a touching moment for me. I will never forget it.
All in all we are doing great and hopefully we can stay out of the hospitals for the next few years. Thanks to all our friends and family who have been a constant support these last few weeks. We love you all.

I didn't know you were taking classes! Good luck with all the homework. I'm glad things are going better for you guys, and it's a miracle you haven't been to the hospital with injuries in the last few weeks!
